Canadian TCCA Supplements and Services

The Transport Canada’s Civil Aviation (TCCA) Directorate is Canada’s civil aviation authority. It has existed since 1936, when civil aviation was transferred from the Civil Aviation Branch of the Department of National Defense. Transport Canada is responsible for regulation through the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Standards. It is also responsible for commercial operations' safety certification and continuous safety oversight. The TCCA is additionally responsible for licensing pilots, dispatchers, and mechanics, as well as registering and inspecting aircraft. The Maintenance Implementation Procedures (MIP) exist between the FAA and TCCA. The U.S. government and the Government of Canada entered into an agreement on June 12, 2000, for the Promotion of Aviation Safety. This agreement was revised on June 14, 2019, and signed by both countries on July 8, 2019. The FAA and TCCA agree to abide by the provisions outlined in these procedures. In accordance with these provisions, maintenance personnel, and facilities in both countries are able to maintain the aeronautical products as long as they follow the provided provisions.Our aviation consultants are highly experienced with the Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement (BASA) between the FAA and the TCCA and have assisted 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Stations in developing a suitable TCCA Supplement. Here is a brief list of services we provide to the aviation community:

Aviation Certifications Support

14 CFR Part 135  Air Carriers and 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Stations certification process consist of stages that are called phase system.  There are 5 distinct phases and each phase has multiple items that must be successfully completed prior to continuing into the next phase of the process.

A Part 135 commuter or charter applicant will not be certificated until the FAA is confident that the prospective certificate holder understand the regulatory requirements and is able to remain in compliance with 14 CFR Part 135 and any other relevant parts.
