Jay brings over 47 years of aviation experience spanning commercial operations, regulatory oversight, and safety management. He retired from the FAA after 22 years, most recently serving as Group Manager in the Aircraft Maintenance Division, overseeing the Airmen and Special Projects Sections.

Prior to that, he led as Office Manager of the Scottsdale, Arizona FSDO. His FAA career also includes senior positions at the Denver FSDO, including Acting Manager, Assistant Manager, and Front-Line Manager, as well as tours as a National Staff Specialist and a Principal Maintenance Inspector at the Singapore International Field Office.

Before the FAA, Jay spent more than 25 years with US Airways. He holds an FAA A&P Certificate, a Commercial Pilot Certificate (instrument and multiengine ratings), and is a certified Ground and Flight Instructor. His formal education includes an Associate degree in Specialized Technology and a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Jay has deep expertise in maintenance program management, global regulatory compliance, Part 145 repair-station oversight, Human Factors, ETOPS, and Air Agency certification, and Human Factors training development.

Outside work, Jay resides in Denver and pursues his passion for skiing, often spending free time at his ski-in/ski-out condo in Breckenridge, Colorado.
